Financial Mechanisms and Public-Private Relations in the Field of Energy Efficiency in Residential Houses

On 25-26 February 2010 JurEnergoConsulting representatives took part in the seminar “Financial mechanisms and public-private relations in the field of energy efficiency in residential houses” chaired by Deputy Minister for Housing and Communal Economy of Ukraine Irina Zapatrina, which was held in Kyiv. The seminar was arranged by the Ministry of Housing and Communal Economy of Ukraine jointly with the European Commission within the TAIEX instrument.

The discussion was dedicated to the issues of the establishment of public-private relations in the field of energy efficiency in residential houses, the development of financial mechanisms to encourage energy efficiency in housing stock of Ukraine based upon European experience, the implementation of EU requirements on energy efficiency in houses.

The city mayors, representatives of the institutions of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine, managers of housing and communal enterprises, representatives of public organizations, experts of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), TACIS program, the German Office for Technical Cooperation (GTZ), International Finance Corporation (IFC), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), World Bank, experts from Hungary, Latvia, Estonia, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Austria and Spain were invited to participate in the seminar.
